In modern times, there are various reasons behind humans becoming so arrogant and authoritarian. This arrogance and authoritarianism have plunged humans into a chaotic and disorderly situation. As a result, human society, states, politics, family, and personal lives are constantly facing a kind of instability, and human restlessness has brought chaotic situations to the world. In other words, in the fluctuating conditions of modern life, humans are unable to properly adapt themselves or adjust to this chaotic situation.
If we logically analyze the above points and try to answer them, we must say that change is the reason. It will be seen that one of the main reasons for this human arrogance and authoritarianism is change, especially technological change. The advancement of science has brought immense power into human hands, enabling them to exert unlimited influence over the world. The vast progress of science has given humans immense influence and power on Earth. The massive changes in science and technology are driving human arrogance and authoritarianism.
2. Even before the 20th century, social changes and the use of technology in daily life were very slow. It took humans thousands of years to move from one invention to another. For example, it took millions of years for humans to discover fire, and a long time to invent the wheel. Gradually, humans developed technologies like weapons, bows and arrows, and agricultural tools such as plows. Initially, humans used stones, and then it took thousands of years to transition from stones to iron. However, since these changes were very slow, humans were always accustomed to a life of struggle and maintained a balanced relationship with the Earth. At that time, humans feared nature on one hand, but also had love for it. As a result, humility and restraint were maintained. This created a balanced relationship between humans and the Earth, where there was neither arrogance nor authoritarianism.
3. But from the 20th century to the 21st century, the pace of change has become so rapid that it has no limits. It continues to grow every day. New technologies are being invented every day, accelerating the pace of human life. Humans are constantly exposed to new ideas and technologies, but they do not get enough time to adapt to society. As a result, a kind of chaotic situation has arisen in personal and social life, over which humans themselves have no control. They are constantly searching for something new, and they are succeeding in this. But in the process, they are losing themselves. As a result, they cannot properly understand the present, hold onto the past, or clearly imagine the future. In this bewildered state, they have lost themselves, and as a result, their lives have become unrestrained and chaotic.
As a result, human mental stability is under threat. Various forms of disorder and instability have emerged in society. To tackle this instability and chaos, humans are forced to make quick decisions, which has led them to take on an authoritarian role. This situation is making them increasingly arrogant.
